Ways with weeds
Article Abstract:
Fishers will encounter weeds when they fish in ponds and lakes in the late summer and early fall. Largemouth bass can be caught by using a graphite rod and some of the new tackle that makes fishing in the weeds easier. Various tips on succeeding are given.

The greed and glory of Guerrero
Article Abstract:
Lake Guerrero in Mexico once suffered from overfishing of its largemouth bass population. Now, it has been restocked and 10- to 15-lb fish are caught regularly. However, if conservation regulations are not enforced, the lake may suffer once again.

Georgia giants

Hybrid fish are discussed with reference to the work of Ken Holyoak and the Georgia Giant. Ken Holyoak developed this hybrid bream in the 1960's and 1970's and sells fish and equipment to the public.
