Where's the honor? Attitudes toward the "fighting Sioux" nickname and logo
Article Abstract:
A study investigated the support or opposition to the "Fighting Sioux" Native American sports nickname and logo of the predominantly White University of North Dakota with significant Native student enrollment. Results indicate that most Native American students and some White students believed that the disrespectful nickname should be changed.

Article Abstract:
Inclusionary and exclusionary mechanism influence sport participation and position of leadership in sport form a complex constellation of interacting factors and dimensions is discussed. The patterns of social inclusion and exclusion in Western countries such as the Netherlands, are analyzed using status of government policies.

"Blackfellas" basketball: Aboriginal identity and Anglo-Australian race relations in regional basketball
Article Abstract:
The article analyzes the racial and cultural identity issues faced by an Aboriginal sports team with the regional Australian community and non-Aboriginal teams and players. It is observed that the Aboriginal players were provided an uncommon opportunity for participation, but in an inferential racist environment.
