Whirling disease: where we stand
Article Abstract:
Whirling disease, which caused by the parasite, Myxobullus cerebralis, is spreading to many wild trout populations. Although the disease is not fatal to trout, it causes deformities which could make the fish more vulnerable to predators.

Hun heaven awaits upland hunters

Hungarian or gray partridge have increased in number in Wyoming giving hunters a bonus with 17,078 birds being shot in 1999. Strategies for hunting these birds including advice on where to find them are presented.

Montana pheasant: good things come to hunters who wait

Montana's Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Department reports 30% higher pheasant counts over the seasonal average. In 1999, 27,000 hunters shot 150,000 pheasants in the state.
