Jupiter duo enter service
Article Abstract:
Tirrenia di Navigazione has accepted delivery of its first two MDV300 Jupiter class monohull fast ferries. The ferries, which are part of a six-vessel contract signed by Tirrenia with Fincantieri, will be used to service the Rome-Sardinia route. These monohull ferries each have six decks, three of which are reserved for passengers, while the remaining three are vehicle decks that can be accessed by a stern door. The vessels, which are designed to retain stability at high speed in rough seas, should give Tirrenia the flexibity to cope with high tourist traffic in the summer.
