Privatisation gets underway in Romania

The Romanian government intensifies its major modernization program with the privatization of the country's top ship yards, including Rousse, Varna and Bourgas. Government officials expressed optimism that the move would allow operators to improve their production capacity, while meeting the orders of international clients. Low labor costs has made the Romanian shipbuilding sector one of the most promising markets in Europe.
