The director of Transas navigation business unit Andrey Vorabiev stated that despite of the advantages of an electronic chart display and information system offered to a navigator the industry is still reluctant to accept the advanced technological solutions. Vorobiev explains that legislative, financial and activity coordination issues are needed to be solved before any significant progress could achieve the industry scale.
