Transit agencies peddle used vehicles, parts online
Article Abstract:
The transit authorities are resorting to online auctioning to do away with the out-of-service vehicles and to earn some extra income. The New York City Transit has been actively following this practice to sell away NYCT' s retired fleet of Redbird subway cars and benches. The other selling option is the usage of eBay as practiced by the Milwaukee county Transit System.
