Bowled Over? Operators are consolidating and small independants are under threat form major players
Article Abstract:
The bowling industry has seen a move away from its basic beginnings and now companies offer entertainment venues for the whole family. Over half of the market is currently controlled by the premier operators, Allied Leisure, AMF and Bass who prefer to attach to good quality established leisure sites. The smaller operators continue to perform in the market place but the more successful of these may be liable to takeovers in the future.
