The quick service restaurant traffic is showing only one percent growth in for a 12 month period ending May, 2003 in Canada. The eating preferences are showing a shift towards coffee and salads, and a general tendency of spending less on outside food is seen due to decrease in disposable income levels.

The ratings for burger operators have improved with custom ers expressing satisfaction over the quality improvement of the burgers. Data from consumer satisfaction survey indicates that operators have consistently received improved ratings for pleasant service, speed of service, and diner satisfaction.
