A fresh approach
Article Abstract:
New York Fries of Toronto, Ontario, began operations in the country in 1984 and has expanded to 153 units nationwide in 2000, with freshly cut french fries remaining at the core of its menu. The chain generated sales of roughly $42.5 million in 1999. Franchising has, from the very beginning, been critical to its expansion strategy. New York Fries outlets are primarily located in shopping center food courts, but there are units located in major attractions, theater megaplexes and highway combination units.
