Changing places
Article Abstract:
New developments in the layout of swimming pool changing areas have enhanced the poolside environment. Open-plan mixed sex changing facilities have largely replaced unattractive changing rooms. However, problems may arise from coverting old premises. Refurbishment should consider ease of maintenance and security. Surfaces and furniture should be durable and vandal proof. Drainage and ventilation should be adequate. Design layout should consider ease of supervision and convenience. Consumer facilities should be available. Wet area products should be selected.
