Heritage site perceptions and motivations to visit
Article Abstract:
The study is carried out to explore the motivations of potential visitors to a heritage site and whether the relationships among the tourists' perceptions of the site relative to their own heritage are related to their motivations for the visit. The results reveal the existence of motives including emotional involvement and bequeathal of the site's narrative and these findings also indicate a distinct relationship between tourists' perceptions of a site relative to their own heritage and the motivations for visiting the site.

Heritage/ cultural attraction atmospherics: Creating the right environment for the heritage/cultural visitor
Article Abstract:
The effect of some basic environmental elements on visitors to heritage sites is investigated, illustrating that the heritage attraction's physical environment plays an important role in determining both visitor's attitude toward the heritage attraction, as well as their willingness to recommend the experience to others. Competitive advantage can be created for the heritage attraction by perpetuating brand meaning and uniqueness in the minds of the consumer using environmental cues.

Visitors' behavior in heritage cities: The case of Girona
Article Abstract:
The behaviors of visitors in the monumental city of Girona, Spain are studied, by focusing on the classification of clusters of visitors showing the same behavior. Results are presented defining the visitors' hierarchical conglomerates, that is, internally homogenous and externally different groups, that help to understand the subtleties in the apparent uniformity taken in visiting heritage sites, with the groups showing specific needs, ways of looking and behaviors.
