Hotel and Catering International Management Association's (HCIMA) Hospitality Assured accreditation, the internationally recognized standard for delivering service and business excellence in the hospitality industry, has become very important to Local Authorities across UK. Ten Local Authorities have succeeded in obtaining the certification so far, with twenty more preparing for the Hospitality Assured assessment. The reasons for Local Authorities opting for accreditation are examined, and the major benefits of achieving it are explained.
