Making an entrance
Article Abstract:
Computerization of ticketing enables more efficient processing and better management reporting in the leisure industry, but there are factors which may limit use in some areas. Current developments include the addition of postcode CD ROMs to existing systems to provide more management data. A future development could be the introduction of a computerized chip which can transmit location information throughout a client's visit to an attraction. Factors which may restrict use of developments are client acceptance of fully-computerized entry, and availability of resources to interpret data.
