Project 'Building Bridges' aims to develop collaborative projects between schools and leisure companies to prepare students for work. The pilot project in Nottingham, England linked schools with hotels, theme parks and leisure attractions. The Central London Training and Enterprise Council has adopted the scheme following the pilot's success. Project initiator, Donald King considers Training and Enterprise Councils the most appropriate agencies for extending the scheme.

Brunswick Corp. has introduced innovative system, BowlerVision to the UK ten-pin bowling market. The system's ten programmes employ video and laser disc technology. Atrium Entertainments, East Grinstead, England has converted 12 lanes for the new system. It aims to provide greater variety and stimulation than traditional bowling. Computer graphics and printouts provide opportunities for tuition or performance analysis.
