The use of Web sites and e-mail by foodservice companies is discussed. Mike Tidswell, an instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's School of Hospitality and Tourism, believes that online initiatives are beneficial to the industry. According to him, the conventional methods of selecting restaurants are changing. Most foodservice businesses create Web sites that include menus and seasonal specials.
