Article Abstract:
The Harvey Hadden Sports Centre, Nottingham, England opened on Nov 16, 1991. The centre was largely financed through the legacy of a local industrialist. It provides local and international indoor athletics facilities. A ceiling height of up to 10 metres enabled a successful bid to host the World Student Games' volleyball championship in 1993. It also allows full-height indoor pole vaulting. Single level accommodation facilitates access for disabled people.
