Support services
Article Abstract:
Disabled people have been encouraged to take part in sport, but there has only been a small improvement in making facilities more accessible to disabled people as spectators. Many stadia claim to have made provision for disabled spectators but some operators claim it is not in their commercial interest to provide more spaces at stadi. Wheelchair seating arrangements are often inadequate and there are often too few disabled toilet facilities. Stadium designers and operators should incorporate the needs of all users, including disabled users into the design of a facility.

Article Abstract:
There is a growing trend towards designing sports arenas which are multi-functional, giving more emphasis to entertainment. Arena owners are becoming aware of the need to offer a wider range of attractions, and are seeking flexible, efficient buildings. New arenas need to take into account the requirements of that particular location and must be easily adapted to different event needs.

Coasting along
Article Abstract:
Most theme park managers now regard a white knuckle ride as an essential customer attraction, even if the park has many other new facilities. Rides are much more adventurous and exciting than they used to be, and can prove very profitable for a theme park. Many people can watch the ride from the ground, and it thus serves as a focal point for the park.
