A Scilly questions: palm trees, subtropical gardens...30 miles off the English coast? Can this be a mirage?
Article Abstract:
The Isles of Scilly are located 30 miles from the southwestern tip of the United Kingdom, near where the Celtic Sea and English Channel meet. The islands have a population of 2,000, and the majority of these people live in Hugh Town on St. Mary's Island. Four other islands are inhabited. The social atmosphere and sites to see are described.
