Airfare report: interesting, yes; useful, maybe

A report issued by the Dept of Transportation detailing domestic airfare is not of much use to consumers. The report lists the average airfares for each airline rather than the lowest airfares, so consumers still have to search to find what airline offers the lowest fares on a particular route.
