Scott Hurlbert ran away from home when he was 15 to escape from a father he did not get along with and to attend high school in an Alaskan town hundreds of miles from where he lived. To reach his destination, he had to walk and journey through the Kuskokwim and Holitna Rivers on a raft he built himself.
