America's military revolvers

A variety of revolvers saw action in the military, starting with Colt's Single Action Army revolver in .45 Colt cal. in 1873 to the Ruger Service Six .38 Spl. revolvers used by Army and Air Force military police in 1977.

Medium revolvers - too little, too late?

The history of the development of medium-size .41 caliber revolvers is related, from the production of the first revolvers at the end of the nineteenth century to twentieth century guns made by Smith and Wesson.
