Article Abstract:
The history of the Cherokee Nation is preserved at Red Clay, their interim home on their forced migration. They were farmers and merchants, and had a newspaper and a court system. Federal troops forced them out of their native Georgia and sent them to Oklahoma. Many died along the 'Trail of Tears.'

Golden heritage
Article Abstract:
Gold was discovered in Dahlonega, GA, in 1828. The town is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and tourists come to pan for gold in the streams. The different tourist sites of the town are described.
