A scholarly examination of the life and work of New Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen titled 'Glory Days: A Bruce Springsteen Symposium' was organized from September 9 to 11, 2005 at Monmouth University. More than 150 presenters, many of whom have serious academic credentials, read papers or participated in discussions on topics like the influence of Dickens, Conrad, and Steinbeck on Springsteen's writing, 'Crime, Social Justice, and Equity' in Springsteen's songs, and gender politics.

The Hoboken model
Article Abstract:
The continuing redevelopment of the New Jersey town Hoboken has succeeded so thoroughly that some other cities hope to follow the same model for redevelopment. The proposals for development in places including Newark, Atlantic City, Trenton, New Brunswick and Rahway are described.
