Cognac and tonic?

Cognac has dropped to a mere 1% of the alcohol consumed in France. This is true because younger people prefer beer and white spirits over cognac, which is expensive. Cognac's image as an after-dinner drink has reduced cognac consumption because of penalties for driving under the influence of alcohol.
