Coral comeback
Article Abstract:

While the 1997-1998 El Nino did kill about 165 of the world's coral, it did serve a beneficial purpose as it alerted scientists, conservation groups and locals who rely on coral for their livelihoods to the fact that better care needs to be taken of reef environments.
