The District of Columbia's rich Masonic history with Washington having 30 lodges from the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, including the big house of the Temple of the Scottish rite and George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria is depicted in the Da Brown's sequel to 'The Da Vinci Code'. The list of temples, lodges, and masons in Washington is included and the famous, rich, and influential personalities attached to the masons are noted.
