Cuban tourism continues apace

The Cuban tourist industry noted rapid growth and foreign investment during the summer of 1996. Aside from a 45% increase in 1st qtr tourist visits compared to 1995, Cuba also became the choice of Canadian hotel mogul Walter Berukoff for a $400 million investment in 11 hotels and two golf courses.
