Danger on Lituya Bay
Article Abstract:
A personal account of a visit to Lituya Bay, Alaska. Lituya Bay holds the world record for the tallest ocean wave. Following an earthquake in 1958, part of a mountain fell into the bay creating a wave that destroyed vegetation on a hillside up to 1,720 ft above sea level.
