Delta Airlines' new SkyWise program for senior travelers requires a Saturday night stay for all travel. Penalties for itinerary changes are up to $75 from $25, and the zoned fares start at prices $20 more than before. American and United airlines offer much better deals for seniors.

Most airlines are changing their policies on excursion-priced tickets. Previously a traveler had up to one year to complete travel, but now the maximum stay to qualify for excursion prices is just 30 days.
