One of the biggest decisions a newly married woman has to make is whether to take her husband's name after marriage. Many women vehemently oppose the idea and many say that they just do not care but hyphenating surnames could well be an administration nightmare. Moreover, it is very difficult for the kids to cope because if they take in all the names, it may well turn out to be mile long.
