Drafted but never served: the Remington 720
Article Abstract:
In 1941, shortly before the United States entered the Second World War, Remington introduced the Remington Model 720 rifle. The Model 720 was intended to replace the Model 30S, but production on the new rifle ceased when America entered the war, and Remington focused its manufacturing efforts on producing M1903 Springfields for the Marines.
