Inagua, the southernmost island in the Bahamas, is perhaps the greatest spot on Earth to watch flamingos. The Bahamas National Wildlife Refuge on the island is home to 60,000 of the magnificent birds, which create an awe inspiring spectacle while in flight.

In Colorado's Mesa Verde National Park dwellings of an ancient people, the Anasazi, are very well preserved. The Anasazi disappeared roughly 1200 years ago. The history of the Anasazi is not fully known and archaeological research in the area is ongoing.
