Flying with pets

Most airlines will allow passengers to travel with their pets. Small pets can fit in a carrier under the passenger's seat. Larger pets must travel in a special pressurized cargo compartment for an additional $45 to $50. Advice for flying safely with pets is provided.

Pets on planes: too often it's a rough ride

The airlines Delta and United have been fined for negligence that led to the deaths of pets being shipped via airplanes. Animal welfare groups state that the airlines are too lax in their treatment of pets being transported via airplanes.
