George Bellows: beyond boxing

Article Abstract:

Works of American painter George Bellows (1882-1925) being exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art include boxing, portraits, landscapes and city scenes. The influences of Fauvism and Expressionism are apparent in his later works, although his Realist style is retained.
