Germany's MP40

The MP40 German submachine gun revolutionized the submachine gun design and manufacturing. It was designed by Hugo Schmeisser and was used by the German Army during World War II. It is the first firearm to use lightweight materials such as plastic, aluminum and sheet-metal stampings.
