Global guide to duty-free: rating the bargains at ten top airports

It is almost no longer possible to find bargains at airport shopping malls. Among the world's ten top airports, London's Heathrow's shops offer the most reasonable price while Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport offers more items than any other airport. Kai Tak of Hong Kong needs to be improved.

The classic 1930s film 'The Grand Hotel' set a new Hollywood standard for the depiction of European luxury hotels. The film, which featured Joan Crawford and Lionel Barrymore, was set in Berlin and took place in a hotel that was supposedly the center of that city's cultural life.
