Five small resorts that provide the simple and relaxed Caribbean experience for less than $200 a day are described. These are Jake's in Jamaica, Compass Point in the Bahamas, the Blue Waters Inn in Tobago, the Hibiscus Beach Hotel in St. Croix and the Small Hope Bay Lodge in the Bahamas.

Where's the reef?
Article Abstract:
The Caribbean islands of Bonaire, St. Lucia and Grand Cayman provide perhaps the greatest snorkeling in the world. The underwater reefs there are kept safe and intact by strong marine protection programs. Hotels on the islands are also described.
