Hand-on history' and some NRA help
Article Abstract:
The National Museum of the Pacific War commemorated the Battle of Iwo Jima's 60th anniversary beneath overcast, drizzly skies and in the presence of over 10,000 spectators. The dramatic re-creation that was promoted under the moniker 'Iwo Jima+60', led to raising of American standards atop a 500-ft. hill that bore a striking resemblance to the highest point on Iwo Jima the first Imperial Japanese soil taken by U.S. troops during World War II.
