Handloading for the "littlest" Ultra Mag
Article Abstract:
The Ultra Mag cases with huge powder capacities mesh better with bullets with heavy caliber, which produce lower standard deviations, better accuracy and terminal performance. The 7mm RUM and Ultra Mag cartridges with blunt profile are more accurate than long pointed shape bullets because they have shorter jump to rifling but for long range shooting 7mm RUM is the best cartridge.

Twelve common hunting rifles are tested for action speed and accuracy by five different types of shooters, ranging from avid hunter/collector to occasional shooter. Semiautomatics are fastest, and the Remington Model 760 .30-'06 Spring Pump-Action rated highest overall.

The success of the partnership of Hornady and Ruger introduced the 4000+f.p.s, cartridge that they named .204 Ruger, to load the handgun. The .204 Ruger is different from other cartridges as it is mild and pleasant as a shoot cartridge with a long barrel-life.
