The hot summer will go on
Article Abstract:
Zetor (Brno, Czech Republic), tractor manufacturer, received a credit of 380 mil Kc from Komercni banka (Prague, Czech Republic) in July 1999. The credit is intended for the pre-export financing of the production of 1,006 tractors for an unnamed consumer. About 80% of the contract are insured by EGAP (Prague, Czech Republic). A condition of the granting of the credit was that Zetor will pay benefits for the social and health insurance of its employees in regular terms. If Zetor receives other credits, it should produce another 7,500 tractors by the end of 1999. The firm produced over 10,000 tractors in 1998. The tractors worth several dozens of millions of Czech crowns remained on stock in 1998 and were sold in 1999. Zetor should sell its two subsidiaries Slevarny (Brno, Czech Republic) and Energozet (Brno, Czech Republic) by the end of 1999. Both the subsidiaries are pawned by Konsolidacni banka (KB) (Prague, Czech Republic). Proceeds from the sales will be used for the covering of credits granted by KB.
