Gros Morne National Park surrounds timeless fishing villages on Newfoundland's west coast, and includes 15,000-year-old glacier-formed fjords and a 450-million year old slab of the earth's mantle. Scenery, lodging, and the life of the seafaring Newfoundlanders are profiled.

A fly-fishing class at the Joan and Lee Wulff Fishing School is described. Twelve students in the class ranged in age from their 20s to their 60s. The three-day class was divided between outdoor casting practice and indoor lectures.
