Altaussee was a tiny sleeping Austrian village until German-speaking visitors including royalties, the landed gentry, the Viennese intelligentsia and the upper bourgeoisie began coming in the 19th century. The town has maintained its own culture and secrets which new residents are not privy to.

Hong Kong at half-speed

Hong Kong's South Side offers a nice getaway for day-drivers. Starting from Causeway Bay, one can enjoy the colony's many hillside attractions. Along the way are temples, restaurants and shops. At night, Hong Kong's tall buildings illuminate the sky.
