The Kapalua resorts on the island of Maui, HI, are closest to the area's natural state. The region's three resorts and activities are incorporated into the natural land rather than cut out from the land to preserve it, and are surrounded by a large pineapple plantation.

New tourist attractions are offered by the different islands in Hawaii each year. For example, tourists can now visit Maui's $32-million arts and culture center or Oahu's Aloha Tower shopping and restaurant complex. Niihau is only now beginning to welcome tourists.
