Kilimanjaro: the roof of Africa
Article Abstract:
Kilimanjaro has attracted mountain climbers from all walks of life whose most fervent dream is reaching the summit, the 19,340-ft. Uhuru Peak. The ascent starts in a rain forest and becomes more sparse with higher altitudes to the snow-covered peaks. One man's climb is described.

Blazing Arizona

A number of guest ranches are located in the deserts south of Tucson, AZ. Guest ranches are the same as dude ranches, but ranch owners prefer the term guest ranch because dude ranch has acquired negative connotations. Top ranches and area restaurants are noted.
