Kiska
Article Abstract:
A wild-life writer narrates the only recorded incident of the Japanese army invading American soil in the treeless island of Kiska in 1942 but a visit to the place in 2004 does show many signs of old Japanese arms and ammunition. The island has black sand beaches with feet sinking up to the ankles and among the many signs of Japanese invasion is an old submarine, which was bombed by the Allied bombers apart from a lot of rusted guns on the hillside.
