Stuart Davidson, who died Aug 1, 2001 at age 78, owned the Clyde's family of restaurants. His first Clyde's in 1980 earned a scathing review from The Washingtonian (where it was an advertiser), resulting in a silent lunch with Davidson, his advertising rep, and the magazine's editor.

George W. to Washington: Drop dead

The US President George W. Bush, who spent most of his life in Texas with its plainspoken, straightforward style, does not prefer Washington with regards to its culture, people, their attitude, lifestyle and values. Various reasons for Bush's aversion to Washington is discussed.
