Mall of the gods

The Mall of America, outside Minneapolis, MN, is the largest enclosed mall in the country, with 420 stores in its 4.2 million square feet. It is more fun than a typical mall, with much of its space devoted to non-retail amusements. A serious shopper describes her experience there.

Airlines are getting in on the duty-free shopping business, which is now a $20 billion a year industry. Airlines are generally able to offer lower prices than regular duty-free stores. While regular retail is often lower than both, it is fun to shop while flying.
