Article Abstract:
Wright's famous Wisconsin home, Taliesin, guarded as a private residence by his widow and then by a group of architects, was recently open to the public. A restaurant that houses the visitor center and a local school building were also designed by Wright. The full house tour is well worth the $35 fee.

Architect Frank Lloyd Wright lived as a young man in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park, IL. Some 31 Wright-designed homes are in the Oak Park area, many of which are some of the earliest examples of his work extant. The Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio Foundation offers narrated, self-guided tours.

Set in stone
Article Abstract:
Paintings by Native Americans were found near Fairbanks, AL, in 1940 but were subsequently destroyed by US Army engineers seeking gravel. Archaeology student Martin Gutoski is hoping to carbon date the remains.
