As gun-ban activists in Congress slipped through anti-gun amendments, NRA officially withdrew its support for final passage.

The U.S. Senate prepares to debate the S. 397, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which is a culmination of four full federal election cycles, including two U.S. presidential contests.
